For many, the takeoff of the Jalisco-Nayarit Riviera as the dazzling tourist hub that it is today began in 1964 with the filming of \u201cLa Noche de la Iguana\u201d. The filming became quite an event for the world of entertainment and the Hollywood reflectors pointed towards the natural beauties of the region, until then very little known.<\/p>\n<p>Classifying the different categories of tourism is complicated because its different characteristics are often mixed together. However, it is necessary to name them in some way in order to recognize them and try to differentiate them<\/p>\n<p>For the purposes of this article, we will call Residential Tourism the one made up of those people or groups of people who decide to settle for long periods of time or permanently in places other than their countries of origin. Although there is also migration of Mexicans, foreign communities, especially from the United States and Canada, are the ones that have grown the most. Due to the strong economic and cultural impact that Residential Tourism generates in the region, it is worth knowing some of its most important particularities, a more in-depth analysis would occupy too much space. Even so, the subject is so broad that we will develop it in three installments.<\/p>\n<h2>What can be expected from Residential Tourism in the future?<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3784\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3784\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3784\" src=\"http:\/\/propertyjournal.com.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/manuel-marin-property-journal-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"turismo-residenciado\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3784\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Foto: Manuel Mar\u00edn<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In order to have an adequate overview, it is necessary to observe the springs and trends that drive migration in the world in general and in the Riviera Jalisco-Nayarit in particular. Some come from a long time ago and others have been emerging for more than half a century. Among the first are a privileged natural environment and climate, the good relationship of foreign currencies in relation to the Mexican peso, efficient withdrawal systems, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Among the advantages and attractions that the region has added over time, we can mention: the gradual reduction of retirement ages, a modern infrastructure that guarantees access to quality products and services, good roads, security and a acceptable level of sustainability, to name the most relevant.<\/p>\n<p>En la mayor\u00eda de pa\u00edses de occidente existe un notable incremento de adultos de 45 a\u00f1os o m\u00e1s, y se vaticina que la cifra seguir\u00e1 en ascenso en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os.\u00a0 Este es el rango que corresponde al\u00a0 Turismo Residenciado.<\/p>\n<p>Un agente sorpresa que intervino significativamente en la expansi\u00f3n del Turismo Residenciado fue el Covid 19. El evento marc\u00f3 un parte aguas en casi todas las actividades del ser humano. Uno de sus efectos m\u00e1s notorios fue el confinamiento. Miles de personas comenzaron a trabajar desde casa, actividad que se propag\u00f3 creando nuevos modelos socioecon\u00f3micos y culturales.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9xico fue de los pocos pa\u00edses que no cerr\u00f3 fronteras y que m\u00e1s flexibiliz\u00f3 los protocolos de seguridad sanitaria. A pesar de una natural \u00a0ca\u00edda en la industria inmobiliaria internacional, la demanda de vivienda e inmuebles en general en la Riviera Jalisco-Nayarit, fue de las m\u00e1s favorecidas en medio de la pandemia.<\/p>\n<p>El Turismo Residenciado tiene una personalidad y caracter\u00edsticas propias y otras compartidas con otras categor\u00edas. La selecci\u00f3n del destino en donde se planea asentarse es m\u00e1s minucioso y cuidadoso que la elecci\u00f3n de otros tipos de lugares, cuya visita ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s ef\u00edmera. El abanico de evaluaciones y decisiones\u00a0 es amplio,\u00a0 van desde calidad de vida hasta la vinculaci\u00f3n con la cultura y los estilos de vida de la poblaci\u00f3n residente en el lugar. Adem\u00e1s, Existe mayor preocupaci\u00f3n por la preservaci\u00f3n del medio ambiente, la seguridad y la tranquilidad.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3785\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3785\" style=\"width: 375px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3785\" src=\"http:\/\/propertyjournal.com.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/aliux-saavedra-cantellano-property-journal-375x600.jpg\" alt=\"turismo-residenciado\" width=\"375\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3785\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Foto: Aliux Saavedra Cantellano<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A diferencia de lo que podr\u00eda suponerse, el Turismo Residenciado es sumamente activo en la Riviera Jalisco-Nayarit. La disposici\u00f3n de tiempo libre generalmente se traduce en actividades que exigen altas dosis de imaginaci\u00f3n y creatividad. Es muy com\u00fan ver comunidades filantr\u00f3picas, otras dedicadas al arte y tambi\u00e9n al esparcimiento. Todo esto conforma las piezas de una maquinaria que trabaja de manera excelente y que se renueva constantemente, una comunidad que sabe aportar e integrarse.<\/p>\n<p>Partiendo del hecho concreto y evidente del crecimiento del Turismo Residenciado, resulta conveniente observar algunos de los muchos \u00e1ngulos que presenta.
