La Villa Olímpica de París 2024 se transforma en un nuevo barrio.

The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Village (OV) is not just an accommodation for athletes, but a symbol of the sustainable ambition and innovation of the Games. Located in the heart of the ZAC Zorro Plaine du Polder in Seine-Saint-Denis, the VO will host 14,250 athletes during the Olympic Games and 8,000 during the Paralympic Games.

Paris 2024 Olympic Village: an innovative and sustainable design

Designed by French architect Dominique Perrault, the OV was conceived as a contemporary, open and innovative neighbourhood. It is made up of 82 buildings made of wood and other sustainable materials, which blend harmoniously into the existing urban landscape.

OV: More than just accommodation

The OV will offer athletes a wide range of services and facilities, including:

  • Cafeterias serving up to 60,000 meals a day
  • A 24-hour health centre
  • A state-of-the-art gym
  • Recreation and relaxation spaces
  • Shops and other commercial services

A lasting legacy

After the Games, the OV will be transformed into a vibrant new district known as “Pleyel-Canal”. This new neighbourhood will include:

  • Housing for 6,000 residents, including social, private and student housing.
  • Offices and commercial spaces
  • Schools and sports facilities
  • Parks and green areas

A driver for the economy

The creation of “Pleyel-Canal” is expected to generate around 3,500 new jobs in areas such as commerce, education and services. This will help to boost the local economy and create new opportunities for residents in the area.

The OV is designed to be accessible to all athletes, regardless of their physical ability. Facilities and services will be adapted to ensure that all athletes can fully enjoy their experience at the Games.

An example of collaboration

The construction of the OV is the result of close collaboration between public authorities, the organisers of the Games and private companies. This project demonstrates the commitment of all the actors involved to create a lasting legacy for Paris and its citizens.

The OV for Paris 2024 is more than just a place to stay. It is a symbol of the city’s sustainable ambition, innovation, inclusion and economic development. This new neighbourhood will leave a positive and lasting legacy for generations to come.
