This guide to excellence in hospitality has published its select list of the best hotels, spas, and restaurants on the planet.
The Riviera Nayarit placed two of its hotels among the “12 most luxurious hotels in Mexico,” a list derived from “2021 Star Award Winners” global ranking from Forbes Travel Guide, the most respected of its kind in the hospitality industry.
Forbes indicated that, in spite of the complications faced by international tourism this year, twelve of the country’s hotels ranked “among the most luxurious in the world,” those that achieved a five-star rating, the maximum awarded in this ranking.
The Riviera Nayarit hotels included in the list are: Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, both located in Punta Mita, the exclusive and luxurious retreat known as the “Glamour Peninsula.”
Among the determining factors for their consideration were: excellence in service, the destinations in which they are located, and their facilities, as well as a protocol of more than 900 criteria followed by Forbes Travel Guide experts. These experts stayed at least two nights at each property, posing as guests in order to be objective and to ensure that nothing would influence their decision.
In addition to the Riviera Nayarit, only two other Mexican beach destinations were included in the list, both of them with the same standards of luxury, exclusivity, and excellence.
