The incredible property of the Gucci family located in one of the most exclusive residential areas of Rome and very close to the historic center has just gone on sale for US$15,885,400. This is, without a doubt, -the House of Gucci- but not the one where Lady Gaga and Adam Driver starred, but rather a large mansion that currently belongs to the descendants of the Gucci family in the most exclusive area of the Italian capital. Built in 1951 by Aldo Gucci, the property is located in a historic neighborhood with embassies and high-income residents and surrounded by exuberant vegetation and has, in addition to its intrinsic value, a history of power and wealth that make it unique.
The House
Walking down a tree-lined street from the front door, you arrive at the 1,200-square-meter main villa surrounded by a 7,000-square-meter park. Restored with fine finishes in the 1990s, this house is inspired by a mixture of English style with Tuscan accents.
The property consists of two villas in total, both belonging to the Gucci family for many years. The main villa has two facades that display typical arched windows and other decorations. The second villa, built by Aldo Gucci in the early 1960s for one of his sons, is accessed from Via Pecori Giraldi. Both have access to a swimming pool surrounded by an annex building used as changing rooms with bathrooms, a large garage and a tool shed.
The second level has a master bedroom with large windows overlooking the garden and pool, two en-suite bathrooms, a dressing room and four other bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The third level features a panoramic space with a fireplace and stunning views of the center of Rome, a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a terrace and a staircase that leads to an access to the roof terrace with panoramic views. The property also has a large kitchen, a games/billiards room, a laundry area and a service area on the garden level, as well as an elevator that connects all the floors.
The second villa, which needs renovation, is located in the main park and is spread over three levels. It is surrounded by a 3,000-square-meter garden that includes a greenhouse for plants and two outbuildings.
