The Rise of Luxury Real Estate Developments in Riviera Nayarit

Real estate developments are in full swing. In addition to the already established luxury hospitality offerings in Nuevo Vallarta and Punta de Mita, properties from the most exclusive brands will soon be added to the north of Banderas Bay.

Complexes such as Costa Canuva, La Mandarina, and Punta Raza, located in the municipality of Compostela, envision the emergence of a tourist and real estate corridor that includes exceptionally beautiful beaches. These developments will undoubtedly constitute the next hub of economic activity in the Riviera Nayarit.

This burgeoning corridor is distinguished by its beautiful scenery of beaches, jungle, and mountains, with an unparalleled view of the Pacific Ocean. Nature has been incredibly generous in this area, and developers and investors have capitalized on it very effectively.

For the past three years, the ultra-luxury hotel and residential complex One&Only Mandarina has been shining in this setting, built on a plot of over 1,200 hectares of land. Similarly, the One & Only Mandarina Private Homes will soon be unveiled alongside the One & Only Mandarina beach complex, along with the luxurious Rosewood Residences and Rosewood Mandarina.

Currently, the villas of One&Only Mandarina Private Homes, designed by the internationally renowned Rick Joy Architects studio, are selling rapidly, with prices ranging from $4.5 million to $12 million. However, in September 2022, the Mexican real estate world was shaken when it was announced that a villa in Mandarina was sold for a staggering $17.5 million, setting a record price!

Further north, the Portuguese conglomerate Mota-Engil is developing the Costa Canuva project in collaboration with Fonatur, with an investment of over 28,000 million pesos (around 1,800 million dollars) to build 7,208 rooms, 3,206 hotel rooms, and 4,002 residential units. The company has also signed agreements with the Fairmont and Ritz Carlton Reserve chains, which will be the first hotels to be established there.

Punta Raza is another tourist development that promises an interesting tourism offering in the Compostela area. It envisions the installation of eight hotels with a total of 1,400 rooms and an investment of around 80 million dollars in the first stage. This major development will also feature its own marina with a capacity for 226 slips, beach clubs, a spa, a gym, a tennis club, as well as commercial and entertainment areas.

The flourishing of these real estate developments not only testifies to the growing demand for exclusive experiences but also highlights the region's ability to reinvent itself.

Ultimately, the Riviera Nayarit is projected as more than just a tourist destination; it is a life experience. This real estate corridor not only creates luxurious homes but also shapes a lifestyle that merges elegance with nature, inviting residents and visitors to immerse themselves in the symphony of luxury and beauty that this region has to offer.
