In a ceremony held in Morelia, Michoacán, Puerto Vallarta secured four prestigious awards in the 2023 edition of the LGBTQ+ Travel Awards Mexico, establishing itself as the most distinguished beach destination both nationally and internationally for the LGBT community.
This event, which brought together 120 nominated companies from 26 cities, was a tribute to LGBTQ+ tourism, and Puerto Vallarta stood out as one of the leading destinations for inclusive tourism.
The accolades received include:
Beach Destination of the Year - Puerto Vallarta
Hotel of the Year - Almar Resort Luxury LGBT, Puerto Vallarta
Restaurant of the Year - Café Des Artistes, Puerto Vallarta
Ally of the Year - Grand Miramar, Puerto Vallarta
The gala ceremony took place in Morelia, Michoacán, and was attended by Luis Villaseñor Nolasco, Director of the Fideicomiso de Turismo de Puerto Vallarta, as well as prominent entrepreneurs from the city.
It is worth mentioning that, in this award ceremony, the state of Jalisco also received recognition in the categories of "Admirable Project of the Year" for the Gay Games and "Magical Town of the Year," with Tlaquepaque emerging as the winner in the latter category.
