Nuevo Vallarta obtains the Gold Level EarthCheck Certification

As we know, Nuevo Vallarta is one of the jewels of the Mexican Pacific and that is why incredible efforts have been made to preserve the beauty of its beaches and the sites of greatest tourist attraction.

The commitment of the Riviera Nayarit is to move towards sustainable tourism and for this it has followed a series of policies for environmental management. That is why it has earned the Gold level EarthCheck Certification. This is a recognition that is granted by the Cooperative Research Center for Sustainable Tourism by the Government of Australia and that includes this tourist destination in a select international certified group under this recognized standard.

The sustainable activities that can be carried out in the Riviera Nayarit include more than 800,000 hectares of Natural Protected Areas, which invite you to enjoy the Marietas Islands National Park, the Isabel Island National Park, the Marías Islands Nature Reserve , Sierra de Vallejo, Isla del Coral, Marismas Nacionales and La Tovara National Park.

Likewise, tourists can and should contribute to the preservation of the destination so that their passage does not leave a negative mark on the place visited. Some recommendations are not to buy protected flora and fauna, or products derived from these species, such as birds, turtles or turtle eggs, something that is also punishable by law. Also clean any dirt that could generate and not take natural memories of the destination. In this way, it is possible to preserve native ecosystems.
