The future from retirement

According to the UN, from the age of sixty people are considered older adults, and the same organization establishes that old age begins at sixty-five. Advances in medicine have prolonged life spans and birth rates are generally declining. Humanity faces a complex reality where the elderly population is increasing and trends indicate that it will continue to do so.

Meeting the needs of an increasingly large group is a challenge. The cost involved in their care and protection is high in various ways, particularly economically. Faced with this situation, measures are required to address the problem and provide solutions. Retirement programs have proven to be an effective alternative that can be improved.

These are based on two fundamental items: saving and sharing. The fund obtained during working time is used both for support itself and for the ability to cooperate in the support of other people, generally family members. In the last fifteen years, the number of elderly inhabitants in the Riviera Jalisco-Nayarit has grown up to 48%.

An important part of them are affiliated with retirement systems. According to the analysis issued annually by the International Living magazine that evaluates the most favorable destinations in the world for retirees, Mexico ranks first and the Riviera third in the entire country.

Economic crises, like the one humanity is going through these days, demand investments that represent the least possible risk. Undoubtedly, the real estate industry in the region provides a high level of security for a wide market where pensioners occupy a preponderant place. It is important to take into account that currently the demand for real estate in the area is higher than the supply.

There are important aspects to consider when pensioners decide to invest in real estate. The provision of basic services such as water and electricity, the legality of property titles and the procedures for sale, purchase or rent, the price and of course the added value of the place. The Riviera satisfies all these demands.

It also brings together a series of advantages that allow you to enjoy retirement in excellent conditions. Among others, its wonderful weather and natural beauty framed in a deliciously small-town architecture and atmosphere. As if that was not enough, it has an urban infrastructure that offers all the advantages and comforts of modern life. Among the most relevant for retirees are medical services, culture and entertainment.

In the case of US and Canadian retirees, who represent the largest group in the region, proximity to their countries of origin also had an influence. As for them and other retired foreigners, the exchange rate in relation to the Mexican peso with the currencies of their countries is very favorable for their economy.

The number of Mexican retirees has also risen. Their retirement funds are necessary to settle in the area and they are beneficiaries of government assistance programs for older adults that in recent years have seen an increase in the amount of their retirement and the facilities to obtain it. On the other hand, it is important to consider that there are many retirees who have established businesses that strengthen their economy.

All this panorama leads to the conclusion that the market niche that represents pensioners for the real estate industry of the Rivera Jalisco-Nayarit is more than attractive. Serving it with professionalism and business vision drives and projects real estate into a scenario full of opportunities.
